Light Dependent Resistor is suitable for use in projects which require a device or circuit to be automatically switched on or off in darkness or light. As the amount of light falling on this LDR increases, its resistance decreases.Two cadmium sulphide(cds) photoconductive cells with spectral responses similar to that of the human eye. Applications include smoke detection, automatic lighting control, batch counting and burglar alarm systems.
