NTC 47D-15 THERMAL RESISTOR
The Thermistor are electronic components that changes their resistance with change in temperature. As it has a negative thermal coefficient which means the resistance of the thermistor decreases with increase in temperature of the device. NTC 47D-15 Thermistor is a special type of thermistor which is used to suppress inrush current coming at the starting of any device as at 25°C (room temperature) its resistance is 47Ω which then falls to very low value when the current starts flowing through it thus it prevents the flow of inrush current by offering resistance to it and in the process the temperature increases and its resistance decrease thus allowing proper functioning of the device. It is used in Conversion power supply, switch power, UPS power, Kinds of electric heater, electronic energy-saving lamps, electronic ballast etc all kinds of power circuit protection of electronic equipment, filament protection of CRT, bulb and other lighting lamps.
