The ULN2002 is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array designed for interfacing between TTL/CMOS logic and inductive or high-power loads. It consists of seven independent NPN Darlington pairs, each capable of driving up to 500 mA and withstanding voltages up to 50V. Integrated clamp diodes protect the drivers from back-EMF, making it ideal for controlling relays, stepper motors, lamps, and solenoids. The ULN2002 is typically used in applications requiring reliable and efficient switching of medium to high power devices directly from logic-level signals.
