XL3001E1 buck constant-current LED driver IC with 8–40 V DC input, integrated power MOSFET and 220 kHz typical switching frequency.

The XLSEMI XL3001E1 is a buck constant-current LED driver IC for step-down LED circuits. It accepts an 8 V to 40 V DC input, while an external current-sense resistor sets the LED current.

An integrated power MOSFET and internal frequency compensation support a compact driver design. Built-in current limiting, thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection help manage fault conditions. The IC also supports PWM dimming when used with suitable external components.

Use this SOP8-EP LED driver for display LED backlighting and general-purpose LED lighting. Its buck constant-current function suits designs that need controlled LED current from a higher DC input.
