XL4301E1 PWM buck converter with 8 V to 40 V input, adjustable output and built-in constant-current control.

The XLSEMI XL4301E1 is a PWM buck converter IC that steps down input voltage and provides output constant-current control. It operates from 8 V to 40 V and lets you set the output from 1.25 V to VIN − 2 V. Its integrated power MOSFET helps reduce the number of external parts in a step-down power supply design.

The built-in constant-current loop supports current-controlled output designs. Internal frequency compensation, current limiting and thermal shutdown add key functions within the IC. Output cable-loss compensation can help address voltage drop along the output cable.

Use this constant-current buck converter in car chargers, battery chargers and portable instrument power supplies. Its combined voltage regulation and current control also suit LCD monitor and TV power supplies, telecom equipment and buck constant-current drivers.
