Oblu an IoT Based Wearable Motion Sensor
Oblu is a low cost Wearable Device which can be used for Internal Motion Sensing (no it does not have GPS), Navigation and for tracking of people and object.
This based wearable kit is just 35.0 x 25.9 x 11.8 mm small and consists of four 6-axis IMU's (3-axis Accelerometer + 3-axis Gyroscope). Yes you read it right it has 4 IMU's which makes sensor fusion and motion processing possible within the module itself and results in very accurate motion sensing.
Features of Oblu
- 32-bits floating pt controller with 512 Kb internal flash
- Four 6-axis IMUs (3-axis Accelerometer + 3-axis Gyroscope)
- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.1 & USB 2.0 interfaces
- USB (Bootloader) programmable
- JTAG programming interfaces for main controller & BLE
- Access to UART, SPI, I2C and GPIO pins
- Access to ADC input of BLE (for battery indication)
- Access to 3.3 V, 5 V, GND & RESET
- Powering with Li-ion battery & USB
- Battery charging through USB
- Battery connector for easy attachment
- Max current: 100 mA (A 500mah Battery can provide Backup of 5 hrs 30 mins)
- Onboard LED indicators; Reset button
Oblu is IoT based so can be used to send all the actual movement information to a phone for real-time tracking. This information is also sent serially (via UART) so it can be directly connected to Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
