AM26C31 Quadruple Differential Line Receiver

AM26C31 Receiver for RS-485 & RS-422 with low power and 3-state outputs.

The AM26C31 Quadruple Differential Line Receiver is designed for balanced and unbalanced digital data transmission. This device operates efficiently with a low power consumption of only 100 µA, making it an ideal choice for various applications. It features a common enable function for all receivers and allows for both active-high and active-low inputs. Additionally, the AM26C31 supports a ±7-V common-mode range and includes fail-safe circuitry ensuring high output when inputs are open.

Manufactured using a BiCMOS process, the AM26C31 Quadruple Differential Line Receiver combines the strengths of bipolar and CMOS technologies. This results in reduced power consumption while maintaining excellent performance. Its 3-state outputs enable direct connection to bus-organized systems, making it suitable for high-reliability automotive applications, factory automation, and smart grid technologies.
