The AS32 5R020 is a type of NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor, commonly used for inrush current suppression. It is designed to limit inrush current when electrical equipment is first powered on, protecting sensitive components and reducing the risk of damage. When cold, the thermistor has a high resistance, which decreases rapidly as it heats up due to current flow.
