BL0942 single-phase energy metering IC with separate voltage and current ADCs, UART/SPI interfaces, and a 3.0 V to 3.6 V supply.

Shanghai Belling BL0942 is a single-phase energy metering IC that measures voltage and current, then calculates active power and energy. Separate sigma-delta ADCs handle the current and voltage channels. The IC supports active energy measurement with 0.1% typical error across a 4000:1 dynamic range.

It can report RMS values and sampled waveforms, giving a controller data for energy tracking and load review. Configurable over-current and zero-crossing outputs help a design respond to line conditions. Designers can connect through UART or SPI and use the on-chip reference and oscillator.

Use the BL0942 in single-phase electricity meters, smart sockets and smart home appliances. Its measurement and interface functions let one IC serve as the metering stage in connected appliance designs.
