XL2596S-3.3E1 fixed-output PWM buck converter IC with 3.3 V output, 4.5 V to 40 V input range and 3 A output capability.

The XLSEMI XL2596S-3.3E1 is a fixed-output PWM DC/DC converter that steps a higher input voltage down to a nominal 3.3 V rail. It accepts a 4.5 V to 40 V input and can supply up to 3 A, making it suited to designs that need a low-voltage supply from a wider input range.

Its 150 kHz switching operation and internal frequency compensation help keep the power stage straightforward to design. Built-in current limiting and thermal shutdown support fault response, while the ON/OFF input lets a system control the converter. The five-lead TO263 package has a metal tab connected to ground.

Use this 3.3 V buck converter in supported display, set-top box, modem and telecom designs. It provides a fixed 3.3 V output for these systems, with 3 A output capability and a wide input range.
