XL4005E1 buck converter IC with 5–32 V DC input, adjustable 0.8–30 V output, 5 A output capability and 300 kHz fixed-frequency PWM.

XLSEMI XL4005E1 is a fixed-frequency PWM buck converter IC that steps a 5–32 V DC input down to an adjustable 0.8–30 V output. It supports output current up to 5 A and switches at 300 kHz.

The internal power MOSFET places the switching element inside the IC. An enable pin allows external on/off control. Built-in current limiting, thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection help manage fault conditions.

This 5 A buck converter IC suits supported equipment such as LCD monitors, digital photo frames, set-top boxes, ADSL modems and telecom or networking equipment. Its integrated switching and control functions support a simpler power-conversion design.
