Soil Moisture Sensor/Probe

Soil moisture sensors measure the volumetric water content in soil.

This is a simple low cost soil moisture sensor or probe which can be used to detect amount of moisture in soil and give proportional analog output.

The sensor can be directly connected to Arduino or any controller with in built Analog to Digital convertor (ADC). It can also be connected to an op amp as a comparator & get digital output.
